"Peace" was the word pop up in my mind when I woke up this morning. I think once a while in our life most of us should have had experienced "peacful in heart and/or mind". Can you recall this moment now?
Yet, contradictary is that most of the people are saying that they find difficulties to be in peace because they have many hurts, wants and worries. Yes, you are right. Life is not easy, in particular there are lots of temptations drawing our desires and it distracts what we orginally know what is right to do for our lives. Well, "Perseverance in Peace" sounds an insight to me.
1 Timothy 6:11 says:
"Belong to God; so run from all these evil things, and follow what is right and good. Pursue a gogly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness."
Revelation 3:10 said:
"Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world."
In our daily life, perseverance is also considered as a key element for success. Many people tend to give up before they complet a job, a dream and more. I attended a NLP class and the instructor mentioned that most of the unfinished or give ups are due to the small "e" - Excuses.
Yes, "excuses" is also an temptations in our daily life. Am I willing to encounter these:
- endurance
- hardships
- patience
If not, I will be drifting my live in temptations, desires and distractions.
May God help me to persevere in HIM.
